SkyTrak+ Review: The Home-Sim Favourite

Updated July 2026 · The launch monitor most home builders love

The SkyTrak+ is the launch monitor we recommend to most people building a home simulator — and for good reason. It hits the sweet spot of accuracy, software support and price that makes a home room genuinely enjoyable. Here's the honest review.

The short version
The SkyTrak+ is the best all-round launch monitor for a home sim: accurate dual photometric-and-radar tracking, works with every major software, and sits at a price serious hobbyists can justify. Not the cheapest (that's the Garmin R10) nor the most precise (that's Bushnell / Uneekor), but the one most owners are happiest with.

SkyTrak+

★★★★★ — our recommended home launch monitor

Accurate, well-supported and endlessly compatible. It reads short shots well indoors, sits beside the ball (forgiving on space), and pairs with GSPro, E6 and the rest. The safe, smart pick for a real home room.

Accuracy

The SkyTrak+ adds radar to its photometric camera system, which sharpens data on shots the original SkyTrak found trickier. For home practice and play it's genuinely accurate — the numbers feel real, and the short game holds up indoors where budget radar units can wander.

Software & space

It works with all the big simulator software (GSPro, E6, TGC), opening up thousands of courses. And because it sits beside the ball, it needs less depth than radar monitors — a real plus in a tight garage build.

Frequently asked questions

Is the SkyTrak+ worth it?

For a serious home simulator, yes — it's the best balance of accuracy, software support and price. If budget is tight the Garmin R10 is the value pick; if you want commercial accuracy, step up to Bushnell or Uneekor.

Does the SkyTrak+ need a lot of space?

Less than radar monitors — it sits beside the ball, so it's more forgiving in a tight room. Always check the required distances against your space.

What software works with SkyTrak+?

All the big ones — GSPro, E6 Connect, TGC and more — which is a big part of its appeal.
